Who Can Join?
Anyone 13 or older can join Text Deal King as a member. If you are aged 13-17, you need your parent or guardian’s permission to join.
Please note that you must be 18, and you must live within the greater Omaha and Council Bluffs metro area to be eligible to win most sweepstakes prizes. See individual sweepstakes pages for full rules.
You must be 21 to claim and redeem age-restricted deals.
Only one registered phone number per user is allowed.
You must have a phone capable of receiving text messages and viewing web links to be a member.
How do I join?
Joining Text Deal King is an easy two-step process.

Once you complete your New Member Form and confirm your number, you are officially a member. Welcome!
Please note, if you completed the form but do not confirm your phone number via text, your account is unregistered. An unregistered account is not eligible to win any of our sweepstakes prizes or participate in any of our deals. Does it cost anything to be a member?
No! There is no cost to be a member.
Your mobile phone provider may charge you to receive text messages depending on your subscription plan with them. This is rare but check with your provider if you are unsure. If you pay a fee, that fee is not paid to Text Deal King; we do not make any money off of carrier fees.
What is a Text Deal King deal?
A deal is any offer of value from our advertising partners. We notify our members about deals based on their notification settings to ensure we are only sending deals they care about.
We take great pride in only offering good deals our members actually WANT to get. We ask our advertising partners to provide exclusive deals to our members, but that is not always the case. No matter what, we’ll make sure it is worth your time before we send it. No bad deals from the King!
How do I claim a deal?
We’ll text you deals that match your preferences, and you will click to accept it when you are ready to redeem. Some deals may have a slightly different process to claim. We’ll always tell you exactly how to claim all our deals. You may have to confirm your identity to claim high-value deals.
To claim deals that did not match your notification preferences there is a manual claim form on the page for each deal. You will be able to enter your Text Deal King registered phone number to text yourself the deal.
What is a Text Deal King Sweepstakes?
A sweepstakes is a chance for our members to win a prize offered by Text Deal King or one of our advertising partners. We are currently running our Grand Opening Sweepstakes, which does not end until 12-31-2021. Be watching for new prizes all year long!
Each of our sweepstakes has a unique set of terms and conditions to list the rules and eligibility requirements. Typically, to be eligible to win, the member must live or work in the greater Omaha metro area but check each sweepstake for unique rules.
How do I change my notification preferences?

How do I change my phone number or email address?
Send us a text message to 833-705-1668 or an email to email@example.com and we’ll update it for you. Only members can text us. Be sure to text from your Text Deal King registered phone number or email from your registered email account. If those options are not available to you, send us an email telling us how we can help.
Can I change my name or my birthday?
Yes, if you have made an error or had a name change, we can update this. Send us a message at firstname.lastname@example.org and let us know why you need to update your name or birthday and we will update it for you.
How do I cancel my membership?
Just fill out this form, and we will cancel your membership immediately. Please note you are no longer eligible to redeem deals or win any sweepstakes prizes after you cancel your membership.
Instead of canceling, you can update your notification preferences. See a previous question for information on how to change your preferences.
You can also reply STOP to any of our text messages, and you will be opted out from all deals and all text messages. Please note that you will still get notified about our deals via email if you cancel by this method. You must rejoin to be eligible to claim and redeem our deals. If you want to unsubscribe from the emails, click unsubscribe on any message your receive. At any time, you can fill out the form to opt-out of both instead of using the manual method.
How many text messages will I be sent in a month?
We will never send you more than 20 messages per month. Most members will only receive 1-2 per week or even less based on their deal and region selections. It is our primary goal only to send you deals you actually want to see. This is why we allow you to set your exact preferences.
Will you actually send me 20 messages in a month?
It is highly unlikely. At this point, we will usually only send a few deals a month, but our text provider requires us to list the absolute maximum we will send now or in the future. Even in the future, it is unlikely we’d send anyone 20 messages in a month. Still, if you are subscribed to all deal categories in all regions, it is possible in the future. Under no circumstances will we ever exceed 20 messages in a month.
Can I limit the total number of deals I receive each month?
Yes, by updating your deal categories and your regions you will get more or fewer text messages. Please see the question “How do I change my notification preferences?” above.
We are also testing an option that will allow you to limit your deals.
What is a High-Value Deal?
A high-value deal offers our members a minimum of $25 of real value. It maintains an expense-to-value ratio of no more than 5-1. Meaning if the value of the deal saves you $25, the amount you’d need to spend to redeem that value can be no greater than $125 to be classified as a high-value deal.
This is a guideline, not an exact rule. But don’t worry, the King looks at all deals and will only deem it a high-value deal if it meets his strict standards.
How do I unsubscribe from text messages?
To be a member of Text Deal King, you must be subscribed to receive text messages. You can update your preferences or cancel your membership anytime. See above for information about how change your preferences or to cancel your membership.
We only send messages that match your preferences. You will NEVER receive more than 20 deals per month and typically no more than 1-2 per week.
How do I unsubscribe from email messages?
To be a member of Text Deal King, you must be subscribed to receive email messages. You can update your preferences or you can cancel your membership anytime. See above for information on changing your preferences or canceling your membership.
We send a monthly newsletter, deal notifications that match your preferences, and information about your membership via email.
Do you sell my personal information?
We never sell your personal information. However, you may be asked to join a mailing list for some deals or a better version of a deal. This is optional, and we would never try to hide that is what you are doing. We only allow our partners to ask for your information if they agree not to send spam or sell your information. It is part of our user agreement with the advertising partner.
I think you are sending spam.
Oh man, that hurts. We never want to send a deal you think is spam. We work tirelessly to make sure we are partnering with companies who are offering good deals, and we try to make sure you can choose the exact type of deals you want to get. But if you feel like it is spam, we still messed up, and here is what you can do.
- Change your preferences to make sure you are only signed up for the types of deals you care about and only in the areas of town relevant to you.
- Send the King a personal message directly at email@example.com and let him know what is going on so he can hear your voice and consider changes based on your feedback.
Your messages were marked as potential spam by my provider; why?
Our messages are sometimes mistaken as spam by the network providers or your phone’s software. This is a good thing … sorta. The providers need to do a better job of stopping unsolicited phone spam. Still, sometimes this means they are overzealous with the blocking. Simply mark our messages, not spam, and you should get all our notifications.
I am not getting your messages; why?
Nearly all providers and modern phones will accept our messages. If you are not getting our messages, email us at firstname.lastname@example.org, and we will look into it with you.
Why don’t I see any deals?
